ARROYO TO ISSUE ORDER FOR NURSING BOARD PARTIAL RETAKE

I agree with President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo that the 2006 Nursing Board Examinees must have a partial retake because the fact that there is an alleged leakage of the exams, the government is right to issue that executive order. I believe that what the government is trying to do will not only benefit the cleansing of the 2006 Nursing board examinees but also it will help a lot in cleansing the scandal surrounding the Philippines about the Nursing graduates here in our country. Of course because of this scandal it will not only be known in our country but also other parts of the world and this means that it may affect the trust of other countries to our country when it comes to Filipino Nurses. Why is it that the 2006 Nursing board examinees keep on protesting against the partial retake? Are they not confident that they will pass again for the second time? They will have no problem anymore regarding the examination fee because according to the government, it will shoulder their examination fee. So what’s th problem? I do not also agree with Senator Panfilo Lacson that the government is considering itself above the judiciary because of issuing the Executive Order. It is true that what the government is trying to project is it is above the Professional Regulation Commission. Why is the 2006 Nursing Examinees thought of cheating the exams? Maybe because of their eagerness to go abroad and help their families but what happened is something that could hider their dreams, why? Because as I’ve said foreign countries might have now second thoughts of hiring our Filipino nurses because of the alleged leakage. Even if not all has done that, they will still be affected knowing that they are citizens of this country and that they belong on the same batch. Those who will be proven guilty of cheating should really be punished. The budget that will be given for the partial retake of the 2006 Nursing Examinees will be of big help to our other poor citizens if this scandal did not happen. Instead of helping the country, these cheaters degrade not only the credibility of the Nurses here on our country but also their integrity as Filipino citizens. Even though there are no evidences of leakage found to those Nursing board examinees in Visayas and Mindanao, they should also be included in taking the partial retake of the Nursing board exams so that it will be fair enough for those Nursing board examinees in Luzon.
